PPS would Like to acknowledge those members who have made valuable contributions to physical therapist–owned businesses, their community, and to the Section.

Trophy

The Section’s awards provide attention and recognition for the contributions of the recipients and serve to enhance the reputation and build public awareness of the profession of private practice physical therapy. For individual members honored, PPS awards represent the highest level of peer recognition. Awards will be presented at the 2020 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Washington, DC, October 28–31, 2020.

ROBERT G. DICUS AWARD

Awarded to acknowledge a single member of the Private Practice Section whose contributions to the Section and to APTA, like those of Robert G. Dicus, have been of exceptional value.

FRIEND OF PRIVATE PRACTICE AWARD

Awarded for distinguished contributions of time, energy, or expertise toward promoting the goals of the Section and enhanced benefits to its members.

PPS Expands Access to COVID-19 Resources

Folder

The PPS community responded quickly to COVID-19 closures, developing invaluable content and materials to help private practice owners navigate the pandemic. While access was open to all for the first several weeks, the entire library of COVID-19 resources is available as a member benefit, exclusively to PPS members. However, for those who might find value in accessing these resources, PPS has made temporary access available with a one-time fee. Access the resources at ppsapta.org/covid-19/access.

Reopening after COVID-19 Playbook

Playbook

PPS member Robbie Leonard, PT, DPT has developed a guide that walks physical therapy practice owners through various considerations as they move toward reopening their practice. It covers patient communication, scheduling, guidelines from CMS and other agencies, and more. This member-only benefit can be downloaded at ow.ly/6Wzr50zyxt9.
