The month of February brings Valentine’s Day, and whether you see it as romantic, sentimental, or commercial, it offers an opportunity to express gratitude and love to friends and family.

I would like to express my gratitude to Bill Pfister, our outgoing assistant editor, for his time and leadership with Impact magazine. He will be missed here at Impact, but we are lucky to have his leadership as one of PPS’s Board of Directors. I am also excited to introduce you to Kristen Wilson, our new assistant editor. Kristen, who cowrote this letter, has been on the Impact Editorial Board for the last few years, and she brings with her a wonderful energy and dynamic ideas that will allow us to continue to bring great content to our membership.

This month’s issue offers tools ranging from billing to managing social media, providing helpful step-by-step guides to make implementation a breeze. In Bridgit Finley’s article on strategic planning, she offers a concise road map to prevent your business from drifting off course. And in the event drift occurs, Jean Darling redirects us back on course by providing tips for implementing change. This issue serves as a reference manual with solutions for all kinds of problems.

Happy Valentine’s Day to my fellow private practice members. We would love to hear all about why you love this profession and your amazing colleagues!
